I am a passionate artist who mostly enjoys oils and pencil, but I am able to work in various mediums. Oils are the most flexible medium and they allow me to constantly improve my technique. My work revolves around portraiture and all modes of transport i.e. road, rail and water. I am endlessly fascinated with movement and transformation, and this has been influenced by my life being changed so unbelievably: from working at a car wash, to a COID consultant and the aspiring artist that I am today. I have explored other themes, e.g. still life, but mostly on a customer request basis. However, I am a very versatile artist.
Art is my life, passion and spirit. Fortunately, I was raised by parents who have allowed me to follow my dreams, and to embrace my career wholeheartedly with no self-doubt. I was blessed with a great mentor and teacher, Sanchi Leibach, who gave me art materials, like paints and brushes, when I couldn’t afford them. She has also guided me all the way when I felt self-conscious about painting. The love from my family, friends and everyone, even the ones I work with, and their support keeps me strong in pursuing my career. I love and enjoy what I do.
My belief, and accepting the changes in the life I have, keeps me on the edge and able to record fascinating scenes, places and people. I am able to do this with meticulousness and hyper energy, to allow anyone to envision the beauty that I see in almost everything natural or artificial. In the process, I aim to evoke lifelike artwork that I can easily communicate with the audience, even those who know little about art, so that they can be comfortable, accepting and love art. I always find myself enthusiastic to bring out the joy I feel in the presence of fresh paint and the freedom I feel in producing original work.
My work is distinguishable in a sense, I possess the ability to capture an accurate likeness of a subject in oils or pencil. I am enjoying the journey of perfecting my craft and style, while at the same time being able to impress those who commission an artwork from me.
